Tired? Tips and Tricks To Help Boost Your Energy.
I must admit it's quite difficult to stay energetic when you’re an active part of 21st-century life. Between our jobs, commuting to and from the work, attempting to have social lives etc, it’s not surprising that more people than ever are feeling the effects of tiredness. However it doesn’t have to be this way, so don’t settle for your tired state - take these tips and you’ll be back to your old energetic self before you know it.
Yes, this might seem obvious, but around 1 in 3 adults don’t get enough sleep. If you’re cutting back on the sleeping hours in an attempt to have a longer day, no wonder you're tired. Review your sleeping habits and make any necessary changes. If you’re drinking sugar or having caffeine before you sleep, you probably won’t be having a good night’s sleep. Have a bath, read a book, and get into bed early so your brain has time to wind down,
You can’t just put anything into your body and expect it to give you energy! Your body needs specific things to be at its best and eating the wrong foods could make you sluggish. Carbs in particular can give you a burst of energy but which will also quickly make you feel tired. Eat foods with plenty of vitamins, especially vitamin B12 as that is good for energy. If you don’t have the time to make vitamin packed food, you can make the most of vitamin drips and conveniently get everything you need. Your body needs specific things, once it has it, you'll have lots of energy.
If you currently live an inactive lifestyle, then it’s time to start making time to do a bit of exercise. If gym isn't your thing, don’t worry, you don’t have to go. Even a quick run or walk in the morning is good for a few hours of energy, though the more you exercise, the more energy you’ll have. It’ll also boost your mood and help keep loads of harmful medical conditions away, too!
Drink More Water.
What are you putting into your body? Coffee and energy drinks might wake you up a little bit but they’ll do little good for you when spread over a long time and they're both very bad for you. Sometimes a sense of tiredness can be completely removed just by drinking some water. If you want to be creative, try making your own cucumber water or coconut water, as these will contribute to your fluid intake.
Your Morning Routine.
How you start the day has a massive impact. In the morning, if you’re rolling out of bed minutes before you need to leave the house, you’re not starting the day properly. Instead, give yourself plenty of time to wake up. Adding two activities to your morning can also make a big difference; they are, taking a cold shower (be brave - unlike me), and taking ten minutes to stretch and wake your body up.
