Fall in Love With Taking Care Of Yourself.
I don't think there is a single person out there who truly believes that they love themselves enough. In this day and age we just don't put enough importance in this. Yeah, it’s getting better - much better - and we’re entering a time in history where mental health is losing its stigma and people are realizing the importance of mental wellbeing, but we aren’t quite there yet.
Life still gets in the way, a lot of people’s need to focus more on themselves. E.g. Many people know they need to focus on loving themselves a bit more and looking after themselves, but that’ll have to wait until after work or whatever.
What I'd like you to do is pay yourself a compliment and mean it, really mean it, and I want you to say it to yourself in the mirror. Say it loud, over and over. Take a deep breath and compliment yourself, no matter what it is that you are complimenting. How amazing does that feel?
Self-love feels amazing, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. In fact, tell other people how amazing it is and how amazing they are. Happiness is all in your head and once you know that you will see a change in yourself. Don’t just compliment yourself, why not compliment those you love too? It will help you both with your confidence.
It’s Okay To Want To Change Something.
How we look is just as much a part of who we are as anything else. It is what you see when you look at yourself and in some ways a physical representation of your mind. So why not embrace how you look, or play around with it, or even change the very thing that is holding you back from being more confident. As you know I don't see anything wrong with wanting rapid recovery breast augmentation if you believe it will help you love yourself more, in the same way, there is nothing wrong with trying out new styles, whether fashion trends or dying your hair. What is important is how it makes you feel on the inside. That’s who you have to live with, so that is all that should matter, no matter what others think.
Realise How Beautiful You Are.
It is so easy to fixate on something we don’t like about who we are or how we look, but that's probably not what other people see. Maybe you think your arms are chubby or your belly is too wobbly, but why not see what other’s see when they look at you. I once read that one of the bravest but best ways to build your self-love and self-confidence is to volunteer at a life-drawing class. Stand in front of a room of artists and see how they see you. Supposedly it's amazing.
